WEATHER NOTE:
As of 4:20pm on July 6, the concert is still scheduled to be outdoors. We should have a window of nice weather before the rain comes again at 9:00p.
In the event of inclement weather, the concert will move indoors to the Marcia Coles Community Room, which is in the lower level of the Lake Park Pavilion, beneath the Lake Park Bistro Restaurant (3133 E. Newberry Blvd.).
The MMO is pleased to kick off the 18th season of concerts at Lake Park's Summer Stage.
Join the MMO and our esteemed conductor Rene Izquierdo as we play:
- some of our favorite music from the mandolin orchestra repertoire
- a selection of patriotic tunes
- Bach's Brandenburg Concerto #3 (a stunning crowd-pleaser last concert)
- a Vivaldi concerto for mandolin and orchestra, featuring our talented Assistant Director Katy Vandenberg
It'll be a wonderful night of free music.
